We first crossed paths years before our romance blossomed. I was covering the Vermont Territory for my then-coworker, and now good friend, Erin, while working for Autotrader. John was the dealer I was meant to meet, and even though our initial encounter didn’t lead anywhere at that moment, years later, fate stepped in. Erin managed to connect us while I was away with friends in New York City, and John was playing poker in Keene. That night, we spoke for hours, and little did we know, we would talk every single day from that moment forward. I think we fell in love through our conversations, as I was undeniably attracted to him from the start!

What drew us together was our shared moral compass and strong sense of family. Neither of us was interested in serial dating; we simply connected on a profound level. It didn’t take long for love to blossom—John bravely voiced his feelings first, but deep down, I felt the same, even if I hadn’t said it yet.

One of our most special milestones was our first vacation together, a cruise that marked my first time traveling with anyone other than my kids. The experience was fantastic, filled with laughter and joy, and it truly set the tone for our relationship.

When the moment came for John to propose, I will never forget it. He suggested we take a boat ride before dinner, which was typical for us, but the magic happened when we reached the middle of the lake. As the sun began to set, he asked me to listen to a song. "I Wanna Grow Old With You" played softly as we floated in our favorite place. When the song ended, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was an intimate and magical moment that I will cherish forever.

Both being in the automotive industry ensures our conversations are always lively, filled with debates and insights. We enjoy spending time together—whether it's exploring new cuisines (John is a big foodie), traveling, attending sporting events, or simply enjoying concerts. Whatever we do, it's always a joy to experience things together.

Looking to the future, we share a harmonious vision. We aspire to be happy and healthy while spending quality time with our kids and their future families, as well as our extended family. Travel is also a significant part of our dreams, as we want to explore the world together.

Throughout our journey, we have always been each other’s biggest cheerleaders, providing support in our personal and professional lives. That's what makes our relationship unique; We are best friends and we have an unwavering bond built on trust, respect, and love.
